About RNA

A bookkeeping practice, not a software subscription

You get a named bookkeeper who knows your business, backed by a close process that does not depend on any one person remembering what to do.

Why we started

RNA opened in 2026, built around one thing we kept seeing go wrong: a business owner hands a shoebox of receipts to a CPA in February, pays cleanup rates to have a year reconstructed, and still has no idea what their margin was in June.

That is a bookkeeping problem, not a tax problem. Books that close every month cost less than books rebuilt once a year, and they tell you something useful while you can still act on it.

How we work

Every client gets a written close calendar and a checklist we actually complete — reconciliation, accruals, payroll tie-out, review — before statements go out. You can ask to see that checklist for any month, and we will send it.

We are a bookkeeping practice and we say so plainly: we do not prepare income tax returns, and we will not pretend to be your CPA. What we do is hand your CPA a file that needs no rebuilding, and sit on the call when they have questions.

Who we are built for

Owner-run businesses between roughly $250k and $12M in revenue, with one to fifty employees, across the 8 industries listed on our home page. Some have an internal bookkeeper and want review and close; most want to hand the whole function over.

We are a good fit if you want the books right and the price fixed. We are a bad fit if you want someone to tell you what you hope to hear.

On being new

RNA is a new practice and we are not going to pretend otherwise with invented numbers. We are taking on a deliberately small number of founding clients so each one gets the owner's attention, at a rate we hold for as long as they stay. There is no contract: if the first month does not convince you, you leave with your file and owe nothing further.

What we hold ourselves to

Four commitments, in writing

Closed by the 10th

Statements land within ten calendar days of month end, or we credit that month’s fee.

Flat fee, stated up front

No hourly billing and no scope creep. If the work changes, we re-quote before doing it.

A named bookkeeper

You know who does your books and you can reach them directly, not through a ticket queue.

Documented close

A checklist you can audit for every month we have worked on your file.

Talk to the person who would do your books.

No sales team and no discovery funnel. The first call is with a bookkeeper who can tell you straight away whether we can help.
