Terms of Service
Effective October 13, 2026. These terms govern this website and the services we provide.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and RNA Bookkeeping LLC, a bookkeeping practice located at 2120 Market Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94114. By using this website or engaging our services you accept them. Where you have signed an engagement letter with us, that letter governs if it conflicts with anything here.
2. What we do — and what we do not
We provide bookkeeping services to businesses: recording and categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, supporting payroll, filing sales tax returns, and preparing year-end records for your tax preparer.
We are not a CPA firm, a law firm or a registered investment adviser. We do not prepare or sign income tax returns, perform audits, reviews or compilations under AICPA standards, give legal advice, or give investment advice. Nothing on this website is tax, legal or investment advice, and you should not act on it as though it were. Where you need those services we will work alongside the professional you appoint.
3. Your responsibilities
Our work is only as good as what we are given. You agree to:
- Give us complete, accurate records and supporting documents in reasonable time.
- Keep the access credentials you grant us current, and tell us promptly when they change.
- Review the financial statements we deliver and tell us about anything that looks wrong.
- Remain responsible for your own tax filings, regulatory obligations and the final accuracy of your records.
We rely on the information you provide without independently auditing or verifying it. We are not responsible for consequences that follow from records that were incomplete, inaccurate or given to us late.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are as stated in your engagement letter and are quoted in US dollars. Monthly service is billed in advance; project work is billed as agreed in writing before it starts. Invoices are due on receipt. Accounts more than 30 days overdue may have work suspended after written notice, and we may charge interest of 1.5% per month on overdue balances where law allows. Billing, cancellation and refunds are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Payment processing
Card payments are processed by Square, Inc. We never receive or store your full card number. By paying through this site you also accept Square’s applicable terms. You confirm that you are authorised to use the card presented and that the details you give are accurate. Card charges appear on your statement as RNA BOOKKEEPING.
6. Confidentiality
We treat everything you give us as confidential and use it only to perform the services. We do not disclose it to anyone outside our practice except the service providers who help us deliver the work, people you direct us to share it with, and where the law requires disclosure. This obligation survives the end of our engagement.
7. Ownership of records
Your financial records and the statements we prepare for you are yours. Our internal working papers, templates, checklists and procedures remain ours. On request at the end of an engagement we will export your records to you in a standard format at no charge.
8. Term and termination
Either of us may end a monthly engagement with 30 days’ written notice. We may suspend or end services immediately if we are asked to do something unlawful or unethical, if we are repeatedly denied the records we need to work, or if fees remain unpaid after notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Website use
This website is provided for information. We try to keep it accurate but make no warranty that it is complete or current, and pricing shown here is indicative until confirmed in a written quote. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or use it to transmit anything unlawful.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there. We both agree to attempt to resolve any dispute by direct discussion first.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and we will notify active clients by email of any material change before it takes effect.
